£60 with one man or £85 with two
The base charge covers collecting, loading, transporting and unloading one suitable item. A chair is a typical £60 job when one man can safely move it. A standard fridge usually needs two men, so the base charge is £85.
There is no hourly charge or two hour minimum for this service. Choose single item delivery in the booking form, enter the two addresses and select the help needed. We check the details before confirming.
What counts as a suitable item?
The item must be a standard size and safe for the selected team to move. Tell us what it is and give its dimensions. A photo can help us check the plan, but it is optional.
Pianos, oversized items and giant American style fridges are outside this offer. Multiple items belong in a standard move. Contact us for a separate quote if the load is unusual.
Reasonable access at both ends
Check that the item can pass through doors, corridors and turns at both properties. Arrange a clear carrying route and suitable loading space, and tell us about anything that could make access difficult.
This offer does not cover taking a fridge around a tight spiral staircase or lifting an item through a bedroom window. Difficult or specialist access needs a separate quote agreed before the job. There is no separate per floor charge.
Mileage and London zone charges
The first five road miles are included. For this Transit based service, miles beyond five cost £1.50 per mile. The booking form adds a £15 low emission zone surcharge and a £30 congestion zone surcharge where applicable, each once per job.
For example, a one man delivery over ten road miles is £67.50 before any zone charges or discount. The equivalent two man delivery is £92.50. Parking, tolls or other agreed costs may also apply under our booking terms.
Getting ready for collection
Agree a collection window with the seller and have someone available at both addresses. Measure the item and the route through each property before booking.
Appliances must be safely disconnected and prepared for transport in advance. Plumbing, electrical work and specialist lifting are not included. We confirm availability and the final arrangements directly with you.
Questions before you book
Is £60 or £85 the whole price?
It is the delivery base charge. The first five road miles are included, then £1.50 per extra mile applies. Applicable zone charges and other agreed extras are added separately. The booking form shows the route charges before you send a request.
Does the two hour minimum apply?
No. An eligible single item delivery uses the £60 or £85 base charge instead of hourly pricing. Standard moves still have a two hour minimum.
Which option should I choose for a fridge?
Choose two men for a standard fridge, with an £85 base charge before extras. Oversized American style fridges are outside this offer. Arrange safe disconnection and preparation before collection.
Can you carry an item upstairs?
Access must be reasonable and the item must be safe to carry through the route. Tell us about narrow stairs or awkward turns before booking. A fridge on a difficult spiral staircase or any window lift needs a separate quote.
What if I have more than one item?
Choose a standard move for several items. We can plan suitable van space and lifting help using our hourly rates.
